I thought this was a great app until my six year old noticed the correct answer is always the highest number. After that he stopped learning. Useless. Do not buy!
Multiple choice app which is a good thing. Much better than simple flashcards but for some reason I thought this would be better for the price. Good graphics.
I thought my 6 y/o was a genius when he was quickly answering what 18x7 is among others. But apparently he isnt that dumb because be told me that all of the answers are just the highest number listed!! So hes not even looking at the problem, hes just picking the highest choice answer. Not as challenging as I had hoped...
My daughter started learning maths and this is ideal for her to learn while playing..! Please make the numbers on the buttons more visible for the background.
My kids (3 and 5 years old) love this app. It has really helped my 5 year old with her addition and subtraction. Im sure multiplication and division will be next. The kids really seem to like the UI and love the rewards (stickers, ribbons, medals, cupcakes, stars, etc.) system. Other thoughts: Surprisingly low price. Great value. Get it if you want your kids to start learning arithmetic before Kindergarten.
Got it for my 3.5 year old and he likes it okay. Hes not that excited about math yet. The reponses are fun and the stars are nice encouragements. Maybe a little more exciting input would keep his interest, but my son is on the borderline age for this app. Still very well done application.
This was really fun for my kids. They enjoyed going throught all the sets. Fun way to learn math.
My son likes it but it is so limited. I downloaded a free app that lets me pick the math facts I want him to work on and also allows keyboard amswer instead of multiple choice. This would make it much better.
My First Grader enjoys this app. Seems to be helping him with his math. I also would like to see a layout where the player has to type out the number rather than multiple choice. I recommend this app.
My 5 yr old daughter has a lot of fun with this application. Its not only educational but fun and rewarding. She says she gets stickers and awards if she does the additions correctly. Its a wonderful app. to keep the kids engaged and they learn quickly too. The colors are meticulosly choosen to keep the kids focused on the game. A wonderful app to have in your repotoire.
So I bought this game for my 6 year old and when I told her I got her a Math game she frowned. Then she saw it and grabbed it out of my hand and played for almost 20 minutes. I am not kidding. The settings are nice because you can make it to your childs level and the magic wand lets them count it out if they need to. The cute lil voice saying " nice job" when they get an answer right is great and it is even better when they get ten right and get a sticker! Nice job! Keep making great apps like this one!
Boring!!
My kid likes it...but gets old fast. The math is alright...graphics are average. Ill wait for a better app.
My 5yr old loves this app but it has stopped loading. Reported the problem. Fix please!
This app says 4+ but has no control over math difficulty. Math problems are VERY basic, will be outgrown in a couple hours. Its the first iPad app I downloaded that I wish I could return. Feel misled.
I bought this for my 7 year old. Im pretty upset there is no skill adjustment. Hes well beyond adding 1+5. I would have thought I would have been able to up the skill level but sadly it cant. Luckily he can still do the multiplication. Which is basic because the skill level is still very low for that.
This app is loaded with features and covers all basic math. My kid enjoyed using it and it was very useful and helped him to tune up his addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills. The combination of colors used and the visual design of the app is very engaging. In short, worth every penny!
My daughter is in grade 1. They are learning bonds and she is up to 8. If you limit the application to 8, it will ask questions where the result is not limited to 8 but where the numbers in the question are limited to 8. This means she is asked what 7 + 8 is equal to. A little tough for 6 year old. Still, it is a great app.
Thanks all for your feedback, comments and enhancement requests. Skill set feature is available now. Apart from predefined levels (1,2,3,4) parents can customize/tune both minimum and maximum numbers for the problem set based on your needs. Currently we are working on feature to save the scores and make it more interesting for the kids. Please send your enhancement requests through email. Garyvb: For your usecase of having 8 in total, you can setup the maximum number to 4. Than it would not exceed 8.
